Ginger Restaurant and Bar is the most recent addition to an elite group of exciting luxury Hanoi restaurants – Wild Lotus (Da Lien), Wild Rice (La Lua), and Seasons of Hanoi (Bon Mua) -- that are well patronized by discerning local epicureans and international travellers. Ginger offers its guests choices that combine the delicate, fresh and healthy flavours that are characteristic of the Vietnamese cuisine, with selections from the owner’s favourite dishes from beyond Viet Nam. The Vietnamese owners want to share with their guests the harmonious food, art and lifestyle that still characterizes the modern globalizing Hanoi, alongside the more gregarious and sensory influences of the Western culture which are making an increasingly important contribution to life in Hanoi.

Ginger is located in an authentic French style villa located nearby -- but a retreat from -- the noise of Hanoi’s one of Hanoi’s busy boulevards, Ly Thuong Kiet Street. Metaphorically the contrast between a modernizing Hanoi -- located in a somewhat restrained Eastern culture -- and the western world is also reflected in the aesthetics of Ginger’s contemporary interior design. Ginger reflects the best of French influenced classical Hanoi architecture --- beautiful with elegant luxury. And the stunning (and sometimes challenging) art presented throughout the restaurant reflects the novel innovative ideas from the west that are increasingly influencing modern Vietnamese art and culture.

Similar contrasts are reflected in Ginger’s menu which combines tradition and innovation. Ginger’s Vietnamese menu combines traditional regional specialties, with a strong focus on the best produce Viet Nam has to offer. The international menu features the favourite international dishes of the owners (who have a fervent interest in food, wine, travel, design and sharing international experiences).
The menu also reflects the owners’ belief that -- with the best produce and skilled and passionate chefs -- simplicity can be a real virtue. Their aim is to provide a modern touch to classic dishes such as nem or foie gras using the best possible produce. Ginger’s guests are served by a professional team of chefs and front of house staff. Many have experience in 5-star hotels and, most importantly, the team serving you at Ginger are passionate about food and ensuring that guests enjoy their dining experience.
Also, Ginger’s wine list is a journey into a fascinating range of fine wines and cocktails from all corners of our Earth.
Ginger is Hanoi’s premier casual fine-dining venue, whether it be for a working dinner (private rooms are available) or sharing the joy of family and friends.Fine dining from Viet Nam and beyond: Ginger Restaurant & Bar.
