The 1920's mansion that serves as the hotel has been painstakingly restored to retain its colonial charm whilst bringing its facilities up to modern standards. Stepping in to the foyer, one is transported back to the splendor of the colonial era. The 33 guest rooms and suites are scattered across the five low rise buildings. Each room blends familiar, classic lines with vibrant colours and textiles creating a style that defies description.
Classic fixtures such as wooden parquet floors, four-poster beds, mahogany armoires and classic fans evoke the feeling of a bygone era. All rooms come equipped with modern amenities, including an en-suite bathroom with rain shower. Within its premises, Villa Maly has no shortage of dining and relaxation options. Until the communist takeover in 1975, it was the royal capital and seat of government of the Kingdom of Laos. The city is also notable a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
